Community Arts Day July 2019
Big Community Arts Day
Thank you to everyone who attended our Community Arts Day on Saturday 6th July 2019, it was a pleasure to see so many of you.
Children and families enjoyed a wide range of art and craft activities such as creating their own rock pool, experimenting with colours mixing to create pointillism paintings and designing their own landscape pictures. Children got the chance to make bracelets, decorate unicorns and make puppets which were then used in their own puppet show. They also enjoyed exploring a range of musical instruments to add sounds to different fairy tale stories.
We really enjoyed getting to see everyone’s artistic and musical skills and we are looking forward to our next event in the autumn term.
In the words of our families:
The first thing Esmae said when she woke up was “are we going to arts day?” They love it. It’s great to be able to come and relax and join in all activities together as family and feel part of the school family too.
The children love coming to these events. I think it is a lovely idea and nice of the teachers to give up their time.
Myself and Holly really enjoy these events! Holly loves arts and crafts and getting messy. She loves to see her teachers and friends. We had lots of fun.
We all had a lovely time with all the messy activities and the girls had so much fun with all the different projects. Great idea and perfect for a Saturday morning, thanks!
What a wonderful morning and such a great way for parents to get involved and share ideas. Connie loved making her creations!
We’ve all had lots of fun at the Community Arts Day. Lots of fantastic activities for the kids – Thank you J
